Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Blocship (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Workouts mobile application and related services (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — such as your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form) when you create an account.
- Profile & fitness details — optional information you choose to add, such as age, sex, height, body weight, and training goals.
- Workout data — the routines, exercises, sets, reps, weights, durations, rest timers, and notes you log, along with your workout history.
- Communications — information you provide when you contact support or respond to surveys.
Information collected automatically
- Device & app data — device model, operating system, app version, language, and time zone.
- Usage & diagnostics — how you interact with the App, feature usage, and crash or performance logs, used to keep the App working and improve it.
- Identifiers — app-instance or device identifiers used for analytics and security.
2. Fitness & health data
The workout and body-metric information you log (for example weights lifted, reps, and body weight) is fitness data. We use it only to provide the App’s core features — saving your workouts, showing your history and progress, and personalizing your experience. We do not use your fitness or health data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
If you choose to connect the App to a platform health service (such as Apple Health or Google Fit), we access only the data you explicitly grant permission for, use it solely to provide the features you requested, and never share it with third parties for their own purposes. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
3. How we use your information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and your account.
- Save and sync your routines, workouts, and history across your sessions and devices.
- Personalize your experience and calculate progress and statistics.
- Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and keep the App and your account secure.
- Respond to your support requests and communicate important service updates.
- Improve the App and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the App you sign up for), your consent (for example, connecting a health service, which you can withdraw at any time), our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the App), and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party providers for hosting and data storage, product analytics, crash and performance monitoring, and transactional email. These providers process data only as needed to perform their services for us. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
7. Data retention
We keep your personal and workout data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures — such as encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure — designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and regulators of significant breaches as required by law.
9. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Account deletion: you can request deletion of your account and data at any time from within the App or through the contact form at blocship.io.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact form at blocship.io. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International data transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data when it is transferred internationally.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, contact us through the contact form at blocship.io. Blocship is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
